Superior Construction

Our composite doors are made from high-quality materials and to the highest standards. Choose from our range of thermally efficient 44mm foam-filled composite doors, 48mm cross-laminated solid timber core composite doors, or aluminium and timber hybrid doors. This construction means that our external front doors are weather resistant and provide you with the utmost protection and long life expectancy.

Thermally efficient

Our range of solid timber core composite doors achieves low U-values of just 1.4, an excellent energy rating. Thanks to the excellent insulating properties of the polyurethane foam-filled core, our traditional composite doors are capable of delivering even better energy efficiency depending on the specifications.

Strong & Secure

Featuring the latest security features including multipoint locking systems, our composite doors are durable and exceed the PAS24 British Standards for security, giving you extra peace of mind that your home will be protected against intruders.

Unique and Individual

Whether you prefer a black composite door or a grey composite door, our range of composite front doors is available in a wide range of different styles and can be painted any colour you can imagine, meaning we always have the perfect composite door for you.

Foam core vs solid core

What’s the difference between foam core and solid core composite doors?

The difference between foam core and solid core composite doors is all in the construction. Foam core composite doors are made from a steel-reinforced uPVC frame and are filled with foam, whereas solid composite doors have a solid core of laminated timber.

The polyurethane foam core offers excellent thermal efficiency and helps our composite doors deliver some of the best U-values of any front door currently available in the UK. While our solid core composite is incredibly strong and secure and uses ABS cylinder locks for maximum levels of security.

We also offer a hybrid composite door, with a unique core comprising both foam and reinforcing structures. This makes our hybrid doors more robust and more secure, without compromising on energy efficiency.

All of our external composite doors feature a weather-resistant and decorative outer grp skin that is available in a wide range of colour options and wood-effect finishes.

Frequently Asked Questions

IS COMPOSITE DOOR BETTER THAN UPVC?

The decision between a composite door and a uPVC door comes down to your personal preferences, budget, and the specific requirements of your home. If you want an external door that is strong, durable, provides weather resistance and looks great, then a composite door is a low maintenance and excellent choice. However, if you are looking for a cost-effective, low-maintenance door that provides adequate insulation and security, then a uPVC door may be more suitable.

HOW MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE ARE COMPOSITE DOORS THAN UPVC?

Composite doors typically cost around 60% more than uPVC doors. However, it’s worth noting that while composite doors may be more expensive upfront, they can provide better long-term value due to their durability, energy efficiency, and overall lifespan. Additionally, a higher-quality door can potentially increase the value of your home and improve its curb appeal.
